Postdocs Application Materials Needed (1 PDF preferably)
- A current CV
- 5-page double-spaced statement of interest that includes their previous experience, career goals, a primary training track and preferred primary mentor, secondary training track(s) and several secondary track preferred mentors
- 2 letters of recommendation
- Sample published paper
Postdoc applicants should hold a Ph.D. by the start of the training in a field relevant to child maltreatment.
Note: once application materials are reviewed – postdoc applicants will participate in a video interview with potential mentors
Only U.S. Citizens or permanent residents are eligible for postdoc positions.
Although there may be occasional remote meetings, all training on the T32 is in person, and all Fellows are expected to be in residence in Pennsylvania.
Competitive applicants for the predoc trainees include (1) interest in developing an independent research program focusing on the integration of CM science evaluated through the applicant’s statement of research interests and courses taken; (2) demonstration of excellent academic performance, as indicated by course grades and evaluations by faculty; (3) aptitude, skill, and productivity in research, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications and presentations at conferences; (4) excellent evaluation by faculty in recommendation letters; and (5) commitment to a research career in an academic or applied research setting, particularly as described in the applicant’s statement of career objectives.
Competitive postdoc applicants include (1) interest in and likelihood of developing an independent research program focused on advancing CM science, evaluated through the applicant’s statement, presentation, and research experience to date; (2) commitment to a research career in an academic or applied research setting; (3) aptitude, skill, and productivity in research as demonstrated by peerreviewed publications and presentations at conferences; (4) outstanding evaluation by faculty in recommendation letters; and (5) delivery of an excellent presentation during their interview

What's happens after I submit my application?
Candidate applications will be reviewed by the Admissions Team and those identified for further consideration will be contacted by the Research Director at some point in early November.
