Summary:

Dr. Jackson will present her research on the mechanisms for resilience in youth exposed to child maltreatment as well as the findings from two large scale projects on the health trajectories of youth in foster care over time.  Research on the nature of trauma and child maltreatment and how exposure to adversity operates to impact adjustment will be presented.
